Volunteering with the East Side Community Investment Cooperative (ESCIC) is a meaningful way to support local ownership, economic justice, and neighborhood resilience. Whether you're helping with outreach, organizing events, or sharing your professional skills, your time and energy directly contribute to building a stronger, more inclusive East Side. ESCIC volunteers play a vital role in connecting residents, raising awareness, and advancing community-led investment strategies that put people before profit.
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering for ESCIC is simple, and you have two options:

1. ​​​​​Community Tabling
As a volunteer tabling for ESCIC, you’ll represent the cooperative at community events, local gatherings, and pop-ups. You’ll help set up and take down the table, share information about ESCIC’s mission and membership opportunities, and engage residents in conversations about community ownership and investment.

2. Phone Outreach
In this role, you’ll contact community members who’ve expressed interest in ESCIC. You’ll provide information about how the cooperative works, answer questions, and guide them through the steps to become members or get involved in upcoming initiatives.

3. Flyer Distribution
Help us spread the word by delivering ESCIC flyers and materials to local businesses, nonprofits, and community hubs. You’ll be provided with a list of locations to visit—your work ensures more neighbors learn about the cooperative and how to join.
